On 15 July 2022, Decree 407/2022, implementing the “MICA ORTEGA” Law, which establishes a national program for the prevention and awareness of grooming or cyberbullying against children and adolescents, entered into force following the publication in the National Bulletin. The Decree requires the incorporation of awareness messages against grooming or cyberbullying against children on devices with internet access and interactive digital platforms. The awareness messages include information on the danger of overexposure, the existence of cybercrimes, ways of rejecting pornographic messages, suggestions not to accept unknown people and information on respect for the right to privacy of data and images. Furthermore, information on actions users can take to report computer crime and where to report and keep evidence has to be provided.
