Argentina: Introduced Bill 0442-D-2019 on State Computer Data Sovereignty, including data localisation requirement

On 12 March 2019, Bill 0442-D-2019 on State Computer Data Sovereignty, including a data localisation requirement, was introduced in the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina. The Bill would require entities offering could services to the government to store the data within the country, prohibiting its transfer to other jurisdictions for processing. The Bill reintroduces the provisions outlined in Bill 0526-D-2017.
