United States of America: Consultation opened on cybersecurity regulatory harmonisation

On 19 July 2023, the Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) opened a consultation concerning cybersecurity regulatory harmonisation until 31 October 2023, following an extension of the deadline for submitting comments. The consultation aims to examine regulatory overlap and inconsistency in order to explore opportunities to harmonise baseline cybersecurity requirements for critical infrastructure and establish a framework of reciprocal recognition by regulators. This initiative advances the National Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan.
