Saudi Arabia: Implemented Implementing Regulations of E-Commerce Law including business registration requirement

On 31 January 2020, the Ministry of Commerce issued the implementing regulations of the E-Commerce Law, with implementation on the same day. The regulations apply to e-commerce platforms that are located within and outside the Kingdom that provide products/services to consumers within the Kingdom. E-commerce platforms should register with the Ministry of Commerce within 30 days. An application for registration should include the name, commercial registration number, a clear description of the type of products and services sold, the activities to be conducted within the shop, and address and contact information.
