Announced EU-Singapore Digital Trade Agreement

On 20 July 2023, the EU and Singapore launched negotiations for a bilateral Digital Trade Agreement, building from the EU-Singapore Digital Partnership and Digital Trade Principles agreed earlier in 2023. The Agreement aims to expand bilateral digital trade and will include legally binding rules and provisions to provide certainty for bilateral trade, facilitate trusted data flows, and promote a connected and secure digital environment.
