Issued ruling in Italian data protection authority enforcement case on revenge porn 9829026 (Instagram)

On 10 November 2022, Italian Data Protection Authority (GPDP) issued a provision ratifying a measure which obliges Facebook Italy and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited to implement actions to remove any revenge porn material from their platform Instagram. It further requires the companies to store the material for evidentiary purposes.
