Italy: Issued ruling in Italian data protection authority enforcement case on revenge porn 9891709 (Telegram)

On 13 April 2023, the Italian Garante issued its ruling concerning a case of non consensual distribution of explicit material ("revenge porn"). The Garante requires Telegram to implement actions to immediately implement actions to stop the diffusion of the material on their platforms and further requires the company to store the material for evidentiary purposes.
