Ruling in GCAM Investigations regarding Advertising Licensing Violations

On 24 October 2022, the General Commission for Audiovisual Media (GCAM) issued a collection of rulings regarding its monitoring of advertisements online as part of the Audiovisual Media Law. 128 advertisements by 94 entities were found to have been posted on social media platforms without obtaining a license from the GCAM beforehand. The GCAM reminds the public of its licensing obligations and calls on responsible consumers to report any media violations through the GCAM website.
