On 22 June 2022, the Mexican Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE) initiated a study on matters of free market access and economic competition in the markets of digital financial services and related markets. Specifically, the digital financial services considered in the study include services for electronic payments and crowdfunding offered by Financial Technology Institutions (Fintech).
