United States of America: Rejected Act for Allowing cities and counties to accept cryptocurrency as payment (SB 1519)

On 27 May 2022, the Act for Allowing cities and counties to accept cryptocurrency as payment (SB 1519) was rejected after failing to pass before the legislature session adjourned. The Act aimed to allow State municipalities to accept cryptocurrencies as payment for services or fees and to establish procedures to securely accept them.
