Description

Implemented IFT Traffic Management and Network Administration Guidelines

On 5 July 2021, the Federal Telecommunications Institute’s (IFT) Guidelines for Traffic Management and Network Administration entered into force. The Guidelines aim to ensure the neutrality of the network. Internet Service Providers are required to ensure that users can freely access all content, applications, and services available on the Internet. Sponsored access to data is allowed as part of the plan or package contracted by the user, but only during the term of the plan. Internet Service Providers are allowed to provide free access to public entities or financial system entities, as well as to users to pay for or contract their telecommunications services.
