Signed German interstate treaty including algorithm disclosure requirement

The heads of the 16 German regions sign the Interstate Media Treaty, modernising the regulatory framework for media to include digital content providers including intermediary platforms. Among other rules, the treaty requires digital content providers to explain in plain language the algorithms used for the selection, aggregation and presentation of content.
