Saudi Arabia: Issued Ruling in GAC Investigation into Rotana for Violations of the Competition Law

On 16 November 2019, the General Authority for Competition (GAC) issued a fine in its investigation into Rotana Audio and Video Company. The fine amounts to SAR 5, 000, 000. According to the GAC, Rotana abused its dominant market position by suspending the sale of a commodity by acquiring another. This decision is supported by the Administrative Court of Appeals in Riyadh (No. 5335/1/K).
