Singapore: Signed UK-Singapore MoU on Emerging Technologies including AI cooperation

On 27 June 2023, the governments of the United Kingdom and Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Emerging Technologies seeking to promote more business partnerships on Artificial Intelligence (AI), identify trustworthy use of AI which can be replicated, and align technical standards for the use of AI. Both countries will also share their experiences of building new telecommunications infrastructure such as 5G networks. The MoU builds on the UK-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement signed in February 2022.
