Signed UK-Singapore MoU on Data Cooperation

On 27 June 2023, the governments of the United Kingdom and Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Data Cooperation aiming to increase digital trade between both countries. Notably, the MoU establishes a new Strategic Intergovernmental Dialogue to discuss domestic data regulation, protection and international transfer of data. The MoU builds on the UK-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement signed in February 2022.
