Adopted Principles on Artifical Intelligence

On 22 May 2019, the OECD and partner countries Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and Romania endorsed the non-binding OECD Principles on Artificial Intelligence at the OECD's annual Ministerial Council Meeting. The objective of the principles are to guide governments and organisations in designing and deploying AI systems fairly and transparently. The principles include developing AI in line with inclusive growth, sustainable development and well-being; human-centred values and fairness; transparency and explainability; robustness, security and safety; and system accountability.
