On 21 June 2023, the Bill to establish an artificial intelligence commission (National AI Commission Act/ HR 4223) was introduced in the House of Representatives of the United States. The Commission would be required to study and issue recommendations on possible modifications to government frameworks or the establishment of new entities, alongside developing a risk-focused framework specifically for artificial intelligence. The Commission will consist of representatives from civil society, government, industry, labour, and individuals possessing technical expertise.
