Introduced Telecommunications Modernization Act including data protection regulation

On 16 December 2020, the Telecommunications Modernization Act, including data protection regulation, was introduced in the German Parliament. The Act would expand the definition of interpersonal communications service providers. In particular, the Act outlines obligations regarding processing and transmitting content, traffic and location data, requiring it to be collected, collected and processed only to provide a communications service.
