Australia: Approved merger of Google-Mandiant

On 11 August 2022, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) approved the acquisition by Google of Mandiant, a global supplier of cybersecurity software and consulting services, after conducting an investigation which determined that both companies are not competitors in the supply of cybersecurity products and that the acquisition was not likely to substantially lessen competition.
