Implemented Regulation on the Administration of Credit Investigation Industry including data localisation requirements

On 1 January 2022, the “Regulation on the Administration of Credit Investigation Industry” of the People's Bank of China entered into force. Article 39 of the Regulation requires credit investigation agencies carrying out credit investigation business and related activities in China, to store the collected credit information within the territory of China.
