Adopted Model Artificial Intelligence Governance Framework establishing principles for ethical and responsible use of AI

On 23 January 2019, the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) released the Model Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance Framework at the 2019 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The framework comprises four components, namely leadership and governance, accountability and decision-making, dataset governance, and AI deployment. The document, which aims to promote the ethical and responsible use of AI, protecting the interests of individuals and society while fostering innovation and growth, will be updated by the Singapore government over time to reflect changes in AI developments.
