Description

Opened consultation on EU Commission template for compliance report for designated gatekeepers under DMA

On 6 June 2023, the European Commission opened a public consultation on the template of the compliance report that designated gatekeepers are required to submit annually under Digital Markets Act (DMA), until 5 July 2023. Under DMA, the entities classified as gatekeepers have to report on the measures implemented to ensure compliance with the obligations outlined in Articles 5, 6 and 7. The Commission is consulting on precise measurable indicators that could evaluate whether the efforts undertaken by the gatekeepers align with the DMA and the data that must be submitted. Furthermore, the Commission is requesting comments on its non-confidential summary template of the compliance report that would enable third parties to provide meaningful evaluations of the gatekeeper's performance.
