Implemented Competition Act 1998 including competition regulation

On 30 October 1998, the South African Competition Act entered into force. The Act applies to all economic activities and describes restrictive horizontal and vertical practices which are prohibited. The Act also regulates dominant firms, prohibits dominance abuse and price discrimination by dominant firms. Finally, The Act regulates mergers.
