Issued FTC statement on Amazon's acquisition of One Medical
On 22 February 2023, Amazon finalised its acquisition of One Medical after the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) investigation did not result in a challenge to the acquisition on competition. However, the FTC expressed concerns that the acquiring and acquired companies' conduct regarding sensitive data may violate consumer protection laws, separate from the antitrust inquiry.
