Closed consultation on NIST Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography Draft

On 8 June 2023, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) closed the public consultation on the Draft Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography: Preparation for Considering the Implementation and Adoption of Quantum Safe Cryptography. The draft is addressed to organisations that use cryptographic products, protocols, and services employing public-key algorithms. The NIST focuses on the migration to post-quantum cryptography to replace current cryptographic algorithms that are vulnerable to quantum computing-based cyber attacks. The Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography aims to provide guidance and recommend practices to demonstrate the use of quantum-resistant public-key cryptographic algorithms and enable organisations to adopt measures and address cyber vulnerabilities.
