On 27 April 2023, the US Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a notice and opened a public consultation on the secure software development attestation common form until 26 June 2023. The issuance of the attestation common form implements the Office of Management and Budget security rules for federal government software suppliers. The form is addressed to software producers to confirm their compliance with secure software practices. Before their software can be used by federal agencies, software producers will be required to meet certain requirements and provide an attestation of compliance. The purpose of the public consultation is to gather feedback from the public on any aspect of the common form, including the instructions provided.
