Adopted SB 2449 Amending Mississippi State Sales Tax Law

On 16 March 2023, Senate Bill 2449, which proposes an amendment to the Mississippi state sales tax law, was adopted by the Mississippi State Legislature and was sent to the Governor for signature. The amendment includes an extension of the tax liability to sales of computer software, computer software services, specified digital products, and other products delivered electronically. If approved, the law becomes effective on 1 July 2023.
