Issued ruling in Lawsuit directing the Competition Commission of India obligation to consider complaints challenging Google's Billing System

On 24 April 2023, the Delhi High Court delivered the judgement on the case of the Alliance of Digital India Foundation v. the Competition Commission of India, W.P.(C) 4599/2023. In the context of Google introducing a new Billing System, that allegedly violates earlier orders of the Competition Commission of India concerning abusive App Store Billing Systems, the Court directs the CCI to accept Applications to start non-compliance proceedings according to Section 42 of the Competition Act 2002.
