Announced establishment of Platform Policy Council
On 6 July 2022, the Ministry of Science and ICT of South Korea announced the establishment of the Platform Policy Council for developing and drafting policies regulating the platform market and supporting innovation. The Council would allow for inter-departmental consultations and enable all government departments to respond to proposals regarding the platform market. The Council would collaborate with self-regulatory organisations from the private sector to establish uniform regulations.
