Republic of Korea: Introduced amendment to Network Act including content moderation requirement

On 29 April 2022, Bill No. 2115457, amending the Network Act (Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection), was introduced in the Korean Assembly. The Bill would require internet service providers, including foreign providers, to suspend the operations of websites that are purposely infringing individual rights.
