Brazil: Announced first evaluation of social media platforms' measures to prevent content promoting violence in schools

On 20 April 2023, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) released the first evaluation of “Operation Safe School”, which includes the implementation of administrative measures for preventing the dissemination of harmful content by social media platforms promoting violence in schools. In particular, the MSP announced that, to date, there had been 812 requests to remove content from social media networks inciting or condoning crimes.
