European Union: Opened consultation on Commission Delegated Regulation implementing Directive 2022/2380 including harmonisation of chargers for electronic devices to USB-C

On 12 April 2023, the public consultation opened on the European Commission Delegated Regulation implementing Directive 2022/2380 including harmonisation of chargers for electronic devices to USB-C, until 10 May 2023. In particular, the Delegated Regulation aims to amend the technical specification outlined in Directive 2022/2380 regarding the charging communication protocol and charging receptacle that the entities providing radio equipment that can be recharged with wired charging have to comply with.
