Spain: Adopted 2023 Guidelines of Annual Tax Control Plan including tax fraud related to digital assets

On 27 February 2023, the Spanish Tax Agency published the 2023 Guidelines of the Spanish Annual Tax Control Plan setting out its regulatory priorities for the year 2023. Among these priority areas is an increased effort to collect information about, control, and, if required, take action in relation to electronic payments, especially when processed through entities registered abroad.
