Opened consultation on CMA investigation into the acquisition of iRobot by Amazon
On 6 April 2023, the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) announced that it is investigating the acquisition of home robotics company, iRobot Corporation, by Amazon.com and opened a period for public comments from relevant stakeholders in the first phase of its investigation. It is inviting public comments to determine if the acquisition has led to a “substantial lessening of competition” in the UK market.
