Published National Strategy to Advance Privacy-Preserving Data

On 3 April 2023, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy published a report entitled “National Strategy to Advance Privacy-Preserving Data Sharing and Analytics”. The Strategy outlines a vision for a future data ecosystem that incorporates privacy-preserving data sharing and analytics (PPDSA) approaches by setting out guiding principles, including the creation and use of PPDSA technologies to minimise the risk of harm arising from data sharing and analytics. The Strategy identifies strategic priorities for the public and private sectors, such as advancing governance and responsible adoption of a PPDSA ecosystem, promoting research that will advance the practical deployment of the PPDSA approach, and developing technical standards, among others.
