Adopted OJK Regulation 11/2022 including data localisation requirements for banks

On 7 July 2022, the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK) promulgated Regulation 11/2022 on “Implementation of Information Technology by Commercial Banks”. In particular, the Regulation requires banks to locate their data centres and disaster recovery centres in Indonesia unless OJK approves their placement outside of Indonesia. The Regulation enters into force 3 months after promulgation.
