Turkiye: Adopted Regulation on Electronic Commerce Intermediary Service Providers and Electronic Commerce Service Providers

On 29 December 2022, the government adopted the Regulation on Electronic Commerce Intermediary Service Providers and Electronic Commerce Service Providers. The regulation requires Electronic Commerce Intermediary Service Providers to identify the Electronic Commerce Service Providers that are active on their platforms, implement a complaint mechanism regarding products sold on their platform, report on their compliance regularly and establish a local contact point.
