Adopted ENISA Report on Threat Landscape in Transport Sector 2023

On 21 March 2023, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) published the Report on Threat Landscape in Transport Sector 2023. The report covers the period of January 2021 to October 2022 and is based on aviation, maritime, road and railway cybersecurity incident reporting. In particular, the ENISA Report notes that the main threats identified are ransomware attacks, data-related threats, malware, denial and distributed denial-of-service (DoS and DDoS), ransom denial-of-service (RDoS) attacks, phishing/spear phishing and supply-chain attacks. Finally, ENISA listed the trends identified, including increased frequency of ransomware incidents, money-motivated cybercrime and hacktivism.
