Announced investigation into Amazon for alleged abuse of dominance

On 14 August 2020, the Canadian Competition Bureau announced its investigation into Amazon for alleged abuse of dominance. Specifically, the Competition Bureau is investigating if Amazon tried to influence retailers to offer their products at a lower price on Amazon.ca, how much retailers have to rely on "Fulfilment by Amazon" in order to sell products on Amazon.ca, as well as if Amazon tried to influence consumers to buy its own products rather than those of competitors. The Competition Bureau is now seeking input from sellers and businesses.
