Opened Consultation on E-Seal Use and Certification
On 13 December 2023, the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) opened a consultation on the e-Seal certification until 10 January 2024. The e-Seal is a mechanism to confirm the source of electronic data issued by organisations in electronic data transactions. The study group on the e-Seal prepared a draft interim summary on its findings regarding the usage and certification of the e-Seal. The consultation aims to gather public and stakeholder input on the draft interim summary. After the consultation, the study group will formulate a final report.
