Netherlands: Issued ruling in ACM investigation into TI-84shop for allegedly using unfair business practices

On 30 October 2023, the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) issued a ruling against TI-84shop, an online retailer, requiring the company to refund consumers within 14 days for cooling-off period cancellations, specify delivery times, and improve customer service accessibility. ACM found that TI-84shop was unclear about delivery, delayed refunds, and blocked negative reviews. TI-84shop must maintain proper records, accurately disclose delivery times, ensure timely refunds, provide accessible customer service, and stop manipulating reviews. Failing to meet these requirements by 7 November 2023 may result in penalties of up to EUR 250'000 .
