Issued Datatilsynet interim ruling in investigation into GulogGratis' use of cookie walls

On 8 February 2023, the Danish Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) announced its ruling on GulogGratis' use of cookie walls, which requires users to either pay or consent to cookie tracking. The DPA found the usage to be lawful, as long as GulogGratis demonstrates that its personal data processing for statistical purposes was lawful and in line with GDPR requirements on voluntary consent before 8 March 2023.
