Roskomnadzor drew up an additional administrative protocol against Twitch regarding illegal content on Ukraine conflict

On 12 August 2022, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media of Russia, Roskomnadzor, announced that it had drawn up an additional administrative protocol against Twitch Interactive. Roskomnadzor stated that Twitch displayed illegal content regarding the "special military operation conducted by the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of Ukraine" and failed to remove them according to the warnings issued under Part 2 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The company faces a fine ranging from RUB 800'000 to 4 million.
