Japan: Signed Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Information and Communications

On 6 November 2023, the Japanese Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications and the Malaysian Minister of Communications signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation in the information and communications sector between Japan and Malaysia. This memorandum builds upon a previous agreement signed in January 2017, with an emphasis on promoting information exchange, broadcast program production collaboration, and industrial cooperation in broadcasting and ICT fields. The memorandum also outlines provisions for joint research initiatives and other forms of collaboration.
