Japan: Closed Consultation on AI Business Guidelines

On 19 February 2024, the government of Japan closed its public consultation on the draft AI Business Guidelines. The consultation sought feedback on the proposed guidelines, which aim to promote the safe and reliable use of artificial intelligence (AI) across various sectors. The guidelines provide a detailed framework for companies that develop, deploy, or use AI systems, outlining measures to mitigate risks while fostering innovation.
