Issued UOKiK fine against Wakacje.pl for advertising misleading prices

On 3 January 2024, the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) imposed a fine of PLN 1 million on the company "Wakacje.pl," a website that provides travel packages from different travel agencies. Following a review by UOKiK, it was determined that the company was misleading consumers by displaying incomplete or outdated prices in almost two-thirds of the offers. The UOKiK noted that the unreliable functioning of the search engine led to consumer deception and potentially resulted in sub-optimal purchasing decisions.
