On 30 June 2023, the Superior Court of California County of Sacramento issued a ruling in the public lawsuit filed by the California Chamber of Commerce against the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA). In particular, the Chamber of Commerce filed a petition seeking an order prohibiting the CPPA from enforcing the Act until one year following the adoption of all required regulations under the Act. The court granted the petition delaying the enforcement of any final regulation for 12 months from its implementation date.
