Implementation of ban in order on measures to ensure the technological independence and security of the critical information infrastructure

On 1 January 2025, the order on measures to ensure the technological independence and security of the critical information infrastructure of the Russian Federation banning the use of foreign software in critical information infrastructure facilities by private and public entities is implemented. The entities affected include telecommunication networks, automated control systems operating in the field of healthcare, science, transport, communications, energy, banking, financial market, defence, rocket and space. The order prohibits the use of the foreign software in critical information infrastructure facilities.
