China: Announced Qinglang Special Action to Regulate Orderly Online Communication in Key Network Traffic Links

On 31 March 2023, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) annnounced its intention to initiate the Qinglang Special Action to Regulate Orderly Online Communication in Key Network Traffic Links. The Special Action will be focused on cleaning up fake news outlets on key websites, such as short-video platforms and search engines. The Special Action focuses on the responsibilities of website operators in removing disinformation, including accounts pretending to be official news outlets.
