Adopted Ninth package of sanctions against Russia including export restrictions

On 16 December 2022, the Council of the European Union adopted the ninth package of sanctions against Russia as a result of the invasion of Ukraine. In particular, the ninth package of sanctions expands the list of export bans on technological goods. The Council adopted export restrictions on “sensitive dual-use and advanced technologies” that Russia could use to increase its military arsenal. The export restriction will apply to drone engines, complex generator devices, printed circuits, laptop computers and computing components, navigational systems, cameras, and lenses.
